  1. This is really nice, I don't know why but a Basil Beattie painting came to mind when I saw this one. I feel like I want to get involved with this one, physically move things out the way to see whats happening underneath, or continue new forms or lines over the top.

  3. thanks Seamus, Its , for me, the most interesting of the set !! Not too long ago I had the great fortune to be in a show With Basil Beattie and had one of my paintings hung alongside one of his !!!

  4. that is an honour!I really love his paintings. This is definitely my favourite of the newer ones I've seen. You have a real knack for essential marks creating something complex to look at. I think that is where Basil Beattie came to mind, he can make a simple image endlessly viewable with the whips and curls of the paint constantly shifting the painting between material and image.
